Synopsis :
1583. Dans la demeure d’un riche négociant en tissus, Charlotte, la femme de chambre, sèche les larmes de sa maîtresse, la trop jeune Isabelle. Henri de Beynac, trois fois son âge, obsédé par l'idée d'avoir un héritier, fait vivre un enfer à son épouse. En cuisine, les femmes chuchotent. Quatre gouttes d’un flacon mystérieux tombent dans le plat qui mijote.
1583. In the home of a rich cloth merchant, Charlotte, the maid, dries the tears of her mistress, the too-young Isabelle. Henri de Beynac, three times her age, obsessed with the idea of having an heir, is putting his wife through hell. In the kitchen, the women whisper. Four drops from a mysterious bottle fall into the simmering dish.
